CEDARS at ICF International
March 7, 2009
In Nassim Nicholas Taleb's book "The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable," he characterizes Black Swans as largely unpredictable events that carry substantial impact. Eric Sarriot of CEDARS at ICF International reflects on this message in regards to the Sustainability Framework, a tool which helps development practitioners improve the sustainability of health outcomes beyond the life of the project in developing countries. Sarriot concludes by posing a parting question: From here, how do we improve empiricism at local and program levels?
